In April 2026, the global construction and building materials industry focused its attention on São Paulo, Brazil. Feicon Batimat, the largest and most influential hardware and building materials exhibition in South America, was held there. Our company sent representatives to the exhibition to experience the vibrant atmosphere of this top-tier event in the construction industry and to systematically examine the enormous potential and industry changes in Brazil and Latin America.
This year's FEICON exhibition continued its strong momentum as a trendsetter for the South American construction industry. According to the organizers, the previous exhibition covered a total area of 85,000 square meters, attracting 1,520 exhibitors from countries and regions including China, Dubai, Spain, Russia, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Germany, and Mexico, with a total of 96,352 professional visitors. The 2026 exhibition further enhanced its scale and internationalization, with bustling crowds and a vibrant atmosphere for business negotiations.

Through in-depth research at the exhibition and exchanges with local professionals, we observed that the Brazilian construction market is experiencing a significant structural growth opportunity. Firstly, the Brazilian federal government and various levels of government have increased investment in infrastructure and housing construction in recent years. Urban renewal and low-income housing programs (such as the "My Home, My Life" program) are progressing steadily, driving demand across the board, from basic building materials to high-end hardware. Simultaneously, commercial real estate and high-end residential projects in metropolitan areas such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro are also steadily growing, placing higher demands on energy-efficient and intelligent building equipment and systems.
Secondly, against the backdrop of international supply chain adjustments, the Brazilian market has significantly increased its acceptance of cost-effective and technologically reliable Chinese products. Significant supply gaps have emerged in some niche sectors previously dominated by European and American brands, such as HVAC control systems, intelligent water treatment equipment, and automated installation tools. This is particularly evident in the electrical control sector, where on-site demand is especially pronounced:
1. Smart Hot Water and Shower Systems: Due to the variable climate in parts of Brazil and increasingly stringent building energy efficiency standards, smarter and more integrated hot water and shower systems are gaining popularity among younger consumers.
2. Water Supply and Drainage Automation: Urban water system renovations and new residential projects are driving a significant increase in demand for smart pump controllers and automatic water level management modules.
3. Electronic Upgrades in Building Tools: The demand for electronic modules such as digital displays and overload protection in installation, cutting, and welding tools is expanding from specialized tools to more widely available products.

It also captured significant industry shifts: In the past, hardware and building materials exhibitions focused more on showcasing individual physical materials, while this year's exhibition clearly reflects a trend towards "systematic solutions." For example, bathroom fixtures were often displayed in isolation, with faucets, showerheads, toilets, and water heaters presented separately. This year's exhibition, however, clearly demonstrates an integrated trend towards "bathroom systems" and even "home water systems." Water heaters are showcased in conjunction with smart water meters, leak sensors, and recirculation pumps; shower systems are presented as sets with thermostatic mixing valves and digital displays. This change requires electronic control suppliers to not only understand the logic of individual products but also possess system-level communication and collaborative control capabilities.
Influenced by global climate change policies and energy price fluctuations, the demand for energy-efficient products in the Brazilian construction market has shifted from a "bonus" to a "must-have." At the exhibition, high-efficiency boilers, variable frequency water supply systems, and solar auxiliary equipment received significant attention. Electronic components such as controllers and motor drive modules with energy management algorithms are becoming important considerations for contractors when selecting equipment.
As a high-tech enterprise integrating R&D of home appliances, manufacturing of power electronic components, development of artificial intelligence algorithms, and import and export of technology, choig has always paid close attention to the dynamics of emerging global markets. This trip to São Paulo, Brazil, further validated the company's assessment of the Latin American market: the Brazilian construction industry is currently experiencing a dual opportunity period of supply chain restructuring and technological upgrading, opening up a vast market space for electronic control-related supporting products.
